A slow-crafted, eco-printed top, hand printed with woad leaves (a native heritage blue dye plant related to indigo) from my garden. There are absolutely no added chemicals involved in the methods I have developed; the range of yellow, green, teal, blue, turquoise, ink and purple colours are purely from the handling of the plant during the printing process, using heat and different water sources.
Each plant-printed piece is totally unique and is printed on reclaimed pieces. This is a lovely light, sheer cotton mix top (not completely sure what the fabric is as there's no label). The label says S/M but it's very roomy, so I think it's a generous UK 12-14.
The prints from natural dye plants are 'live' colours, meaning the shades might shift with the light (as seen in the photos), heat, and even with your skin chemistry.
Eco-Hand-Woad-Printed Top, size 12-14
Woad is a light and heat-fast dye but the shade might be altered by over-exposure to light. Other colours may run after washing, so wring out in a towel after washing and dry flat to prevent this.
Do not use laundry detergent or harsh cleaning products. Hand wash with a natural soap and dry out of sunlight. Ironing or tumble drying can help keep the colours fast.
